Fresh Air Breathing Device and Method (1982)

In 1982, Williams Holmes patented this fresh air breathing device and method, which allowed people to breathe in a smoke-filled room… through a toilet! This invention consists of a “breathing tube” that is “inserted into the drain pipe of a toilet, with its open end exposed to fresh air in the ventilation pipe connected to the toilet sewer, allowing the user to breathe fresh air through the breathing tube.” Would you dare?
