If you are afraid of snakes, try this snake repellent. In 2001, Thelma F. Pogue patented this invention, which includes “a container having a quantity of garlic or onion placed therein, the aroma of which is believed to be effective in repelling snakes.” The container is attached to the user’s arm or leg and has “a plurality of openings to facilitate the release of the garlic or onion aroma,” and it may “be provided with a chopping rack for chopping a clove of garlic, thereby releasing its aroma more fully.” We are faced with a difficult choice: garlic body odor or a snake bite!
